The Yaris GR has been the topic of conversation all over the globe since it’s release in 2020 and has taken the world by storm. It is a one of a kind production vehicle and has some very special touches that separate it from its competitors.
Tuning Developments have been involved with the Yaris GR since it’s release and run our own Toyota GR Yaris as a development/test car. This car features a host of the growing parts list that can be found on our webstore and we are constantly researching and developing new items to benefit the GR Yaris platform. Having our own development GR Yaris has been a great addition and has enabled our progression to test and prove the items we now offer for sale.

Servicing & Maintenance
Servicing your Yaris GR couldn’t be simpler. Tuning Developments keep an array of service and maintenance parts in stock to keep lead times as low as possible and turnaround times as quickly as possible.

What tuning options are out there for me?

Tuning Developments Yaris GR Tuning Package Stage 1 – 270 – 280hp
Our baseline stage 1 tuning package has the parts required to give your GR Yaris a nice boost in horsepower and torque whilst keeping daily drivability. The exhaust note becomes something you can actually hear and enjoy over the very quiet OEM setup. The vehicle is ran on the dyno to give us a baseline figure, to which we then set about installing a few extra goodies from our catalog. Our 3” CATBack exhaust system is installed, alongside a K&N drop in air filter inside the OEM intake housing. To compliment this our large bore boost pipe kit is also installed. We then run the vehicle back on the dyno to give a second power figure, with then a printout to show the difference between the two runs provided to the customer. As an example we saw an increase of 18bhp and 30lb.ft torque with our own Yaris GR with this tuning package installed. A very impressive increase when not touching the OEM ECU.ECU Tuning
For a long time now, a good solution for tuning the OEM ECU has not been available. There have been some lesser options that have been on the market however we chose not to go with these options as they do not give the end product of something that we would be happy with. If we would not be happy with it then we should not expect any customer to be happy with it either. Standalone ECU units have been available a while now, however these do come with a price tag that can be simply out of reach or not justifiable to the owner. Thankfully this has now changed! We’re able to work with the OEM Toyota Denso ECU without the need to modify the ECU or the vehicle in anyway in order to do so. This now allows us to finally make the very most of the performance parts we already manufacture and has allowed further developments work to continue into more tuning packages for the Yaris GR platform.Tuning Developments Yaris GR Tuning Package Stage 2 – 310 – 330hp
For those that are a little more power hungry, our stage 2 upgrade adds in an ECU remap to make the most of the already installed upgrades from our stage 1 tuning package. This allows an increase in boost pressure to be safely applied to boost horsepower and torque figures to really transform the drive of the GR Yaris.Tuning Developments Yaris GR Tuning Package Stage 3 – 360hp+
If the region of 310 – 330hp simply won’t cut it, Tuning Developments Stage 3 GR Yaris tuning package goes further again, this time upgrading the turbo to our custom hybrid unit and thereafter, horsepower and torque.
At this stage there becomes a few extra variables that are user specific/preference. GPF delete for those that would like it, valve springs, camshafts and so forth. With all additional hardware applied this package ups the Yaris GR to over 400hp which makes it a very very serious piece of kit! Our stage 3 tuning package is tailored to each customer so it is best to get in touch to discuss this package further for us to best fulfil your requirements.
